Product Description
The MA 120W supports the FIPS 201 PIV card and has optional Match-On-Card capability. When configured for a FIPS 201 PIV operational environment, biometric data is stored on the terminal and indexed to the cardholder unique identifier or CHUID for matching against the live biometric. With a change to the firmware parameters the MA 120 W is able to execute Match-On-Card. Using secure messaging, the live template is sent to the card for matching against the stored template on the card itself.
As a TCP/IP addressable device, remote terminal management is possible. Terminal management includes initial configuration, firmware upgrade, log retrieval, biometric database operations, etc. With onboard processing capability, the MA120W is capable of parsing the CHUID, verifying the validity of each component and checking the card expiration date; making it an ideal front-end solution to bring legacy access control systems to PIV compliance. The MEMS (MorphoAccess™ Enrollment & Management System) can be used as a bridge to legacy access control systems. MEMS and the MA120W have been successfully integrated with various PACS providers using Sagem Morpho SDK's.
The MA120W offers standard interfaces, such as Wiegand, RS485, Data & Clock or Ethernet, to return the CHUID to the host system. It is also capable of activating a relay when the terminal is configured in stand-alone mode (i.e. to unlock a door).
