TrustBearer Desktop is a smart card middleware product that supports both PIV and CAC smart cards on Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems. TrustBearer Desktop provides the interface between PIV and CAC smart cards and the applications that utilize the digital certificates stored on the smart card. Supported uses include network authentication, SSL client web authentication, digital signing of documents and emails, encryption, and VPN authentication.
TrustBearer Access enables existing web applications to authenticate smart cards, USB tokens, and software certificates in addition to usernames and passwords. It supports SAML, OpenID and the TrustBearer SDK to communicate with existing applications. The TrustBearer Live smart card middleware is distributed as a web-browser plug-in for Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari.
