Product Description
The SmartTRANS reader from Integrated Engineering is a dual technology reader that provides a transition path from existing proprietary legacy 125 kHz Prox technologies to the open standards ISO 14443 technologies. The reader combines ISO 14443 technologies, such as Mifare, DESFire and International & US government standards (e.g. PIVII (end-point cards and transition cards), FRAC (First Response Access Cards), TWIC (Transportation Worker Idintification Credential cards) and DOD (Department of Defense cards)), and 125 kHz Prox technologies, such as EM4102 and Hitag™ in one reader.
Various models
The reader is available in Integrated Engineering's SmartID™ housing. Other models, Customer housing and private labeling are available on demand. This will allow you to offer elegant and recognizable products.The SmartTRANS reader is available with or without PIN pad. The PIN pad adds extra security to those points where you need it. The reader can be configured to read IE formatted cards programmed with Proxburn, non-IE (third party) formatted cards and as serial number reader. For IE formatted cards the data on the card controls the output of the reader. For non-IE formatted cards and serial number reading the output of the reader is configured in the reader. The PIN output format and length are independent of card outputs. The access control system/host decides which data is required. The Configcard offers configuration flexibility even when the reader is already installed.
